Start with Kopar’s six-course Adventure Menu beside Reykjavik’s Old Harbour, then walk one minute to Special Tours for a 2.5-hour Northern Lights cruise. You get onboard commentary, video, and warm coveralls. The meal is dependable; the aurora remains weather-dependent.

The cruise was also excellent with a range of drinks etc at reasonable prices. We saw the northern lights pretty much ten mins after leaving port. A wonderful experience overall”
