Everything you would need they made sure you were taken care of. Husband and I caught two each, most everyone on the boat caught at least one! Also the most amazing potatoes and seasoned/cooked fish I’ve ever had. Overall so amazing and worth every penny.”

“We were drifting over a rocky bottom, as that is where the cod were. Caught one then next drift, got snagged up and lost my weight. We were using 5oz to get down to the bottom. Asked for another weight and they didn’t have any. This was literally after 15 minutes of fishing They took a reel handle and tied it to my line but it wasn’t nearly enough to get me down with the current. Also a lot of the rods had broken tips or missing the last eyelet. Once I complained and a few other folks got hung up and lost weights, the captain let the drift take…”

“Fun experience on a traditional Icelandic boat. About 25 minutes from Akureyri - a little out of the way but totally worth it. We were given water proof suits as well. We boarded the boat and travelled out a bit before seeing a Humpback Whale. Staff was friendly and kind always pointing out in which directly we should look for the whale watching. We also were offered coffee/hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls sort of cookies which was a nice touch. Tour is definitely an option for those with mobility issues as you go up a small ramp to enter the boat. Plenty of seating available as well. Not too crowded.…”

Our group caught so much fish, they didn't even cook it all. They cooked fish for us to eat on the way back to the port. Eating the fish immediately was fantastic! I can't say enough good things about the crew, lunch, and this excursion in general. I would book it again if I am lucky enough to go back to Iceland in the future.”
